Tony & Tina's Wedding (Play in NY)
This is one picture from our Night out in NY which prompted our new Club. This is one of our Members (& Mom) who was picked from the audience and danced with a Member of the Wedding party. As you can see in the picture she was reluctant to dance, but felt she should participate. (That was her story.....But by the smile you can tell it wasn't a hardship)
We had our First meeting in June 2006 we met at a local diner we had a total of 17 woman who joined us that evening. We brainstormed on future events while eating, cheesecake, Disco Fries, Rice Pudding, Mozzarella Sticks, toasting with Wine, Soda, & Coffee. Everyone was able to enjoy what the wanted that night. All members are not pictured here because some members were only able to come for a half hour.
We decided mostly because I always wanted to go play Bingo that we would have another date in June to go play. Let me tell you Bingo is not they way I remember it. It was fast paced, and hard to keep up with. Thank god for the woman sitting next too me who were able to explain to me what I was doing. They have pictures you have to create with your bingo numbers in order to win, four corners, Jack Pots. We had two 5 minute intermissions and they meant 5 minutes. One of our members Maria won $25.00. What I didn't know is that they don't accept only one winner if more than one person wins they split the pot. Some of the prizes were $50.00, $100.00, $300.00 & $600.00. I didn't win anything and didn't get to catch up with any of the member who went that night but we will be prepared the next time we go. We need a highlighter, Snacks, and not as many boards to play off of. My sister would love this because I had no opportunity to look at anyone elses boards to see what they had (see Tara you should come). Some of us came armed with Pennies to put on the boards.....BOY WERE WE WRONG. You work off paper boards and have to get a dabber. It's alot of fun, if you can come next time try too. They have Bingo on Thursday Evenings at 7:30pm at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Maywood, and I mean 7:30 no late birds. Next time we have to get there by 7:15 the very latest
